We are happy to sell you sell you our ex-sample wedding dresses online and this is a great way of saving some money on a stunning designer wedding dress – however, we need to make sure you know a few things before you press “buy”:
 
These dresses are in really good condition – but they have been tried on by other brides in the past. We check every dress before we list it and again before we send it out, but you need to be aware these dresses will not be as 100% pristine as if you had ordered a brand new version of this dress from a bridal boutique and paid full price for it.
 
There may be some superficial little bits on the gown that need some TLC at the point of alterations (i.e. a couple of loose beads or some applique that needs sewing back down)
 
However, we will never sell a dress online if there are issues with the dress which are not simple fixes that your alterationist will simply resolve as she works on your gown for standard alterations or that would mean you have to spend substantial sums of money at alterations to fix.
 
Alterations – Almost every wedding dress needs alterations to get that perfect fit for you. Standard Alterations are usually:
 
Shortening the Straps to the right size for you
Coming in at the sides of the bodice to get the perfect fit across the bust
Length for you in your wedding shoes
 
To be clear it is unlikely that any wedding dress you buy from either a boutique or online will fit perfectly when it arrives – this is what alterations are for. Wedding dresses can usually be taken in up to two dress sizes easily.
 
Dress sizes – Please make sure you measure yourself and pay attention to the measurements provided for each dress. Bridal sizing is different from the high street and you need to make sure that the measurement sizes are bigger than your measurements to ensure the gown will fit you and not be too small. Remember the dress will be taken in by your alterationist for the perfect fit so as long as the dress measurements are a couple of inches away from your size the dress will fit perfectly when it has been altered.
 
On Arrival – We recommend you have someone else there to help you into your wedding dress and we send small clamps with the gown so you can clamp the back of the bodice in and get more of an idea what the finished look will be once you have had alterations.
 
Delivery – Delivery of your gown is still free – however because these are wedding dresses we send the delivery out on a fully insured service, which is more expensive than a normal courier delivery. Please note that if you return the gown – you need to send it back to us at your cost and we strongly recommend you use an insured courier service – as the dress needs to come back to us in a fully resalable condition.
 
Your Dress will come with a breathable Wedding Dress bag and will then be boxed over this – we strongly recommend you keep all of the packaging until you know you are happy with your wedding dress in case of the need for return.
